Tablao de Carmen![]()
Tablao de Carmen is named after Carmen Amaya, a Catalan Gipsy bailaora (flamenco dancer) who debuted in 1929, performing for king Alfonso XIII, on the opening of the Spanish Village, an artificial village showcasing popular architecture from all over Spain built as an attraction for the 1929 World Fair. Tablao de Carmen is located right inside the Spanish Village, an added advantage as entrance to the premises is included from 7 pm. The shows, which last 75 minutes and feature renowned performers, combine a selection of different genres and styles, and alternatively highlight instrumental music, dance and singing. The hall is arranged like a small theater with the tables around the stage and can accommodate 170 persons.
